Zunsport Grilles

Have seen recent posts on Zunsport grilles and the group offer. Has anybody fitted them on their 996 and does anybody know how the offside grille accommodates the temp sensor? They are stainless steel apparently so not sure if there is "wriggle" room to fit the sensor, or whether they come with a grommet/hole.

thanks for any advice

Hi Lyndon

i believe "Buddy" Kevan from the Cayman register had them fitted to his gen 1, he could maybe answer your question.

cheers steve

Yes, there is wriggle room for the temperature sensor.

You'll want to "dry" fit them as part of working out how they fit so you can work out which hole you'll want to guide the sensor through.

They are a piece of cake to fit and since I fitted mine probably 6 months ago I've not had anything invade the space in front of the radiator/condensers.

Pete and Steve, many thanks guys, I think I will go ahead and order a set!
My pleasure. Zunsport do a range of grilles for the range of Porsche models: be sure to order the correct ones for your car and, if in doubt, give 'em a call.

Hi lyndon

Of course the other option is to make your own like I did

got the mesh sheet from halfords, made a cardboard template first, cut the mesh to size.

They look great, do the job perfectly & all for £25 and a couple of hours of my time

cheers steve

I have got them and they look nice and do the job well. A little fiddly to fit apparently as I got my local garage to fit them. Good job done.
