Zunsport grilles

Had them fitted to my 981S just over a year ago - though I cheated. We were passing very close to Cannock so got them to fit them while enjoyed a cup of complimentary coffee - they finished the work before I finished the coffee!

They look great and no more dragging debris from the rads! Also seen a fair dent on the front nearside grilles so suspect it saved a reasonable size stone from hitting the rad.

I assume this has been discussed before but as I am fairly new to the Porsche marque I thought I would ask the question.
I am considering fitting the front outer grilles to my 981 Boxster to protect the rads & condensers (and maybe the engine side intakes).
The Zunsport website states they only take 20 mins to fit with only a screwdriver.
I just wanted to know if anyone else has fitted these and what their opinion is of them and were they easy to fit?
I did consider just buying some plastic mesh from ebay but obviously this requires removing the front bumper in order to fit the mesh behind the duct opening cross-bars.
Am quite capable of doing this but if there was an easier way to do it rather than remove the bumper, I would rather do that.
But would also guess the size of the mesh is important, too large and it would still allow debris through, too small and it would upset the air flow through the duct opening and affect cooling.
Zunsport state they have had no negative feedback about air flow with their grilles once fitted.

Same here. Shortly after fitting, the nearside lower element disappeared after I encountered a huge dip in the road surface at speed, which I suspect resulted in some flexing of the intake aperture (!). They sent me a new element FOC. Good service. I also had them on my previous 987 Cayman S. Depending on your mileage, even with mesh fitted you still get small amounts of material building up below the rads (shredded flies, very small stones etc) which are worth clearing out occasionally. As removing and refitting the Zunsport grilles literally takes a few minutes, it is really easy to do.

Fitted a full set on the GTS as the front radiator areas were constantly filling with debris, they were a bit of a fiddle to fit but not complicated, they look good quality construction and do not detract from the car.

Just got back from having Zunsport fit the full 5 grilles across the front of my 991.1 GTS having had the full set fitted to my previous Cayman 981 S. Great quality and look great according to the OPC where I traded the Cayman. Could easily be OEM according to After Sales at another OPC.

More importantly, they protect those vulnerable radiators and keep the air filters nice and clear.

Go for it!

I think all you above comments speak volumes for the quality & fit.

So they seem well worth the money.

Now ..... do I order just the front grilles or shall I order the engine intakes ones as well ???
