Zymol, carnuba etc

Hi All,

Just wondering who uses any of these carnauba wax products, Zymol, Swissol etc? Are they a lot better than std polishes? Do they provide better protection over and above mormal polishes? They seem very expensive but if they're worth it I'm thinking of giving them a shot. Cheers

Hi Kristan

I will be giving my car the works this weekend with Zymol in preparation for Gawsworth Hall on Monday. I notice you are just up the road from me (Cheadle) so feel free to come along and have a look and see for yourself.

We are meeting at the Deanwater Hotel at 9.30 am Monday to travel in convoy to Gawsworth.

I have been using meguires & the results are really impressive [:D]

Gold class car shampoo
paint cleaner
polish
canarbra wax
trim detailer

It takes quite a while to do (days worth) but the finish is amazing!! The paint work is soooo smooth & its like a mirror!!

I use a Zymol carbonara wax and it does give a fabulous finish. I would not change to anything else but I would not say it provides better protection. You still have to wax it regularly.

Carbonara wax - is that Italian Zymol? [:D]

I use Ragu wine and herb sauce, smells great and gives a lovely vine tomato finish. Unfortunately, not much protection from the elements [:D][:D]

More seriously ........... I have tried a number of products and found Zymol to be by far the best and easiest to use. Is more expensive but a tub of wax will last you a very long time. Finish is exceptional and washing very easy.

If you are interested, I have some spare Zymol products (bought too much) I need to sell and would be happy to do a deal. PM me if interested.

Regards

Hi Kristian,
I posted a thread in the R27 region of the forum you might checkout if you want to have a look at what zymol can do.
In my humble opinion there is nothing better.
Most man made products contain sylicone which will over time dull the carl paintwork.
With regards to cost , yes it is expensive to purchase, however you use soo little of it each time that i recon it is actually cheaper in the long run.
there is a product out lately from zymol that is especially for porsches...top top stuff.

AND NO..... I dont work for zymol. !!
