Hi

Does anyone have an idea of what is a good price for these kits.
I have been e mailed by a guy in the states who says he would do anyone on the forum a deal on these kits.
His quote was approx $125 posted to the Uk approx £70 (these kits are £99 in the UK)

This kit contains a full-size container of each of the basic products that make up the zymöl Automotive Enhancement System:
(1) 8.5 ounces Clearâ„¢,
(1) 8.5 ounces HD-Cleanseâ„¢, 8 ounces wax
(your choice, see wax chart)
(1) wax applicator ,
(1) pre-wax applicator,
(1) Micro-Wipeâ„¢,

and 5 ounces
(1) of Vinylâ„¢ or Leather Treatâ„¢ (make your choice depending on interior)

If anybody knows of anywhere better please let me know

Cheers

Zymol cleaner Wax £12.99 - 500ml

Is this the same stuff?

Is it worth using on cars used every day?

Whats so good about Zymol?.......I have been using Mer.

Mike

Sounds like Emmons Coachworks to me.

Berg944, no the cleaner wax is not the same stuff. This is a kit with proper wax. Mer is a polish, good for cleaning paint, but the wax gives protection.

I have just bought the same zymol kit on ebay for £70.00 incl delivery, although 10 mins after that the same thing went for only £65.00. I haven't received it yet, but is supposed to be brand new.

Hi Andrew

It is a company selling on E Bay in the States called "Masscash Sales"

It was just a thought at this stage as I want to try a kit, but it is so expensive in the UK compared to elsewhere, story of our lives for everything on these shores [:(]

Nottage was your kit you bought on E Bay a UK dealer?

Cheers

It was a UK supplier. I have only sent the payment today so it should arrive soon. I have asked the seller to let me know if he will be "auctioning" anymore soon. The ebay seller was porka2509.

www.emmonscoachworks.com

Will ship to UK. I ordered some about 3 years ago, cost (with shipping and Customs fee) came to less than UK prices...

Lee if you want everything in the kit then go-ahead, but I would say that you don't need all that stuff.

Mine came from www.zymol.co.uk and I just use HD-Cleans (£20) and then wax (£40) twice a year, using 99p microfibre cloths from Aldi. The rest of the time I just use plain water to wash the cars, or occasionally the cheapo Zymol shampoo that Halfords sells for £7 if they are really filthy. Both cars do about 12k a year in all weathers and down muddy lanes.

My Zymol was bought about 4 years ago and is about 1/3 full, doing both cars twice a year

Hi Paul

What do you use to apply wax?

And obviously the HD cleanse, do you need the fancy applicators?

If I can get away without buying a full kit all the better

Thanks for the advice

Lee

I apply the wax by melting a tiny amount onto my fingers/palm then give the car a good massage, buff off with the Aldi microfibre before it dries.

Apply the HD-Cleans with one microfibre, polish it off with another (they come in green/pink/blue/yellow so you can keep seperate) they last a good while and wash up well. If you drop one or it gets too dirty just chuck it away.

They are superb at drying the car after washing, and great for giving a dusty car a damp wipe over
