You're obviously interested in getting your P&J looking good, so can I suggest you have a read of the basic car cleaning guides on detailingworld.co.uk. A lot of that site is a bit anoraky, but they have good basic guides that have taught me a lot, and helped me get rid of a lot of the swirl marks on my 968. Wash - do not use a "normal" yellow cellulose sponge, it has lots of little holes that trap grit and cause swirl marks while you're washing. Use a wash mitt (preferably merino for the "clean" top half, microfibre for below the waist line and wheels) and the 2 bucket method, it's remarkably easy and makes sense. Do not dry with a chamois - same thing, it traps grit and causes swirl marks. Use a microfibre drying cloth. After that, it's up to you how much effort you want to put in. Re-wash, clay, paint correction, polish, glaze, wax - how deep are your pockets, how strong are your arms, how much effort are you prepared to put in??ORIGINAL: spiker after a regular wash and chamois ?

I started using Zymol Titanium as soon as I bought my car 2 years ago. If applied properly, you use so little that the long term cost isn't that bad - I still have over 3/4 of the product left. I can't recommend it highly enough. Of course, if yiou are intending to use "Royale", it works out considerably more expensive.......but at least you get unlimited free top-up's!ORIGINAL: spiker This stuff is not inexpensive so rather than purchase the whole range I would like to try a good wax product from them
