yes, no, yes.
i love it. Obviously has its critics but considering what's squeezed into a DIN size box, I think it's amazing.
Especially the uber cool Porsche logo on the screen each time it fires up.
happy to answer more questions if it helps.

I'm having mine done at Source in Sheffield with a speaker upgrade at the same time.
either way I don't think you'll regret it, especially with upgraded speakers -- something I've not done but have been pondering....
enjoy!

I didn't upgrade my speakers which i probably should have done, as they are a bit lame compared to modern car hi-fi.
If money is no object, this is definitely the 993 stereo/nav to buy.

I think the newer classic radio fits more the design of a 993.
It works fine with Android phones (tested with Galaxy S4 mini and S7 edge). I got mine fitted at a Porsche specialist in Germany and I paid around 850€.
Just bought a 993 with one fitted. I think it was fitted Dec 15. Only thing that i have a problem with is that the radio even if turned off will fire up every time
the SAT NAV starts to give a instruction. Just for a couple of seconds you have 2 voices but sometimes enough to miss the sat nav instruction.
As already stated for the size it does everything well , but the voice over lap is a pain on mine.

I haven't seen any possibility for that... The navigation software which runs on the radio is called RC-Win.
Maybe there is a possibility from the original manufacturer.
