Hi,

Another 992 newbie question, does the 992 C2S have an AGM or Lithium ion battery? I read some of the posts which seem to give differing views?

Hope it is AGM as I already have a CTEK.

Thanks

Neil

I have a 992 Carrera 2S Cabrio (regd June 2019) and that has the Lithium ion Battery

My C4S has lithium ion. Presumably you don't have the car otherwise I would have said the obvious "Just open the front and have a look... [8|]

Yes correct I do not have the car, I quizzed the service department at the dealers but they were vague and gave me an unconvincing answer that 'only the motorsport cars had lithium batteries so must be AGM'. I think it could be either as I downloaded the Porsche 'Good to know app' and it said could be either and post above gives Lithium on the C4s. Car was registered in April 19.
Am picking up the car tomorrow so will check then.

My reading of a thread a couple of months ago is that it depends on both the car model and the options fitted, that impacts electrical needs and that impacts feasible battery type.

RAS is linked with the Lithium battery. I had to change to the LI CTEK (the battery having gone flat as a result of me spending too much time playing with the settings!).
