Just read this on another forum - I've no idea if it's true or maybe just a complete fabrication, but if your having problems give it a try and please report your findings,

Resetting your PDK if you transmission has developed a problem.

Here is the procedure:
1. Turn on the engine, turn off A/C (and any other consumer like PCM, etc.) and let the engine run for 3 minutes.
2. Turn on A/C and wait another 3 minutes.
3. Turn off engine, remove the key, close the car and wait one minute.
4. Restart car and PDK is now reset to factory default

Regards,

Clive

Ctrl, Alt, Delete then, Clive[:)]

Why would the PDK be set to anything other than factory default? Does it do some kind of learning/update depending on how you drive it, I wonder? We can ask our man in Exeter tomorrow night!

Yes, similar comment made on the "other" forum, then somebody subsequently posted they had tried it and it worked! [8|]

Placebo effect........ maybe!
Regards,

Clive

I guess the part which introduces the doubt is what has the A/C got to do with the PDK. I know these Porsche engineers are cunning chaps but that just seems a very odd way of having a reset. Or is this like the "one notch" on the handbrake disables the 4WD on turbos and 4s? I never have found out if that works or not!
