New exhaust options?

I am after a bit of advice.

I had two replacement OPC keys programmed at Porsche Cambridge this week. At the health check they informed me that I needed a new back box & the other one was on it's way out. The quote from them for the exhaust was £2500.

Now the car is going to Dovehouse at the end of the month for it's MOT & service. One of the things I had already asked them to look at was the lack of noise from the exhaust & ways to make it a bit more aggressive. Now it looks like I need a complete rear section, what are the best compromise between price/performance/sound?

If you can live with the previous price, I know that the Porsche Sports Exhaust retrofit kit is becoming available in November (currently on back order).

IMO nothing quite sounds like one.

If you want a cheaper option then you can look at the Dansk options which will be <<1k, but you might always think what might have been.

I've just had the Dansk 300.S fitted to my 4S by DH & the exhaust 'note' is much better than the standard.
It was recommended to me & I'm very pleased with the sound.
You will save in excess of £1500 of quote from OPC.
I purchased my car from DH before they opened their own service department & wouldn't go anywhere else now....

Milltek Cup System on mine - quality, no drone and deep throaty sound through power band. Unobtrusive on motorway cruise. However, R19 always know I am arriving at their meets :) More expensive than Dansk, but check Eurocarparts as they were running discounts on these mufflers. I was very close to buying from FVD.de, almost identical to oem, but exchange rate may not make them so attractive.

Hi,

Your doing the same as me! I have just ordered a valved exhaust that allows you to tweak the output from a fob in the cockpit, this changes the sounds. It's price is around £1400. Have a look on YouTube as they have plenty of videos on them. Simon
