986 Roof replacement near Cambridge/ Peterborough / Bedford

So the rear window in my Boxster has pretty much completely clouded over now to the point where I can no longer see through it.

A local Porsche specialist has quote circa 4k (using all porsche parts) I then had a google and found one in Chester for £1,950 and another in sevenoaks for £1,250. Both of which are aftermarket.

Just wondering if there is one closer to us?

Hi have you tried The Car Hood Warehouse in Kent.
Seem a decent price and you might get a PCGB discount if you mention it.
They can upgrade to glass rear screen as well.

Hi Mark,

I assume that you’ve already found Cliff’s recommendation, but you could try Dave the Trimmer or Allon White Sports Cars, both in Cranfield, the latter being a Morgan Dealer which has a trim shop capable of making new hoods, so maybe they could replace your rear window?

He is an absolute wizard on Boxster hoods, he will replace plastic windows in hoods for about £250. He uses OE quality plastic, and sets his machine up to use the original stitch holes . He also supplies new hoods, He did my hood 8 years ago, still great condition, I can recommend Gary’s work .
