Great to hear you also had the challenge, and gives me inspiration if yours was even worse, will keep the thread updated as long as the finance lets me.I did my rough 1973 coupe in 1988/89 and it was worse than that then!
Be great when you get going. If DIY then it will be very rewarding, just will have to get a lot worse to get much better!
I still have my '73, now with a 3.2 engine in it and all the repairs done (DIY) are still sound about 70k / 35 years later.

Targa time
Doing a Targa this time. Pretty bad state body work wise but nothing new really. Bumper and wings being removed Bumper mounts missing on one side and rotted out on the other so made new panels and added new mounts And the other side... Inner wing repairs... Side repeater harness holes removed... ...www.impactbumpers.com
I have a set of original cookie cutters (dated 1979 I think) that may not go back on mine as I‘m currently sporting Fuchs. If you are still looking when you are putting back together I should have made my mind up by then.now searching for a standard steering wheel and cookie cutters
