.......... and there nice, but to me they look more dated than there age....just my personal opinion though John of course.

Yep I have to agree with you there. Pretty but not for me - too old and dated.

Just drive behind any 997 - narrow or wide bodied - and they look awsome. Just as good as any wide bodied 993!! [:(][:(]

Drove a 996 Turbo today to make my mind up, and felt a bit dated if im honest. Then drove a 3.6 Carrera 997 which drove okay. Indy told me the engine problems that have happened [and he know's of over 20 in total] have all happened to the 3.8 S which i the one i like.

Does anyone out they have a 3.6 997 with Cylinder scoring issues?

Thanks, i'll check that out.

Really really dont know what to do. Want a 997 S, and cant afford OPC prices really, and indy only does 6 months warranty...do i risk it, or reduce my risk with a 997 3.6?

Also, if im to get a OPC warranty, and get the 111 point check first, do Porsche normally find a long list of bits [and a big bill] they want doing first..you know, that old chesnut?

One last thing too, can quad S type tailpipes only be fitted to a standard Carrera, without replacing the rear bumper using the oval carrera exhaust cut out already in the rera bumper....has anyone done this at all?

As I said before your in the driving seat. Take you time. The last thing you want to do is buy and think 'If only'[8|]

Pleanty of choices with warranty - even Tesco do! Plus your Club card points[;)]

Enjoy your search.
