0-60mph in 1.1 sec??

Impressive figures, but so what??
I have a couple of questions too:
We are told that our present generating capacity will not supply the extra needs of EVs and the heat pumps (electric powered) that will have replaced gas boilers by 2030.
So:
Time to 2030 deadline for elimination of IC cars: 9 years
Typical lead time for new power station projects: 15 to 20 years

How exactly does that stack up?
Are we all doomed?

Down here in France where electricity is mainly produced by nuclear power stations it was stated many years ago, and by the national electric producer/supplier that even if we could build on time the additional stations to supply all the electricity needed to fuel an EV-only population of cars then the network itself would collapse.

All this EV joke only serves the purpose of short-sighted and opportunistic politicians supported by idiotic tree huggers who can't tell a spanner from a screwdriver.

I think you may find that as well as pushing drivers to EV's, they will also push people away from owning/leasing personal cars. This can already be seen in our cities. As for heating, it seems that we may be heading for hydrogen to heat our homes in the future, gas will be stopped. The world 'is a changing' and there's sod all that we can do about it.

You really don’t want an electric heat source pump if your house wasn’t designed for it. Neighbour had one fitted "for free” and apart from looking a mess, their electricity bill has risen by more than twice what their gas bill was.

They will have to find a way to get the missing revenues from fossil fuels
toll roads will be everywhere, Mr Musk is already on it with his 42,000 satellites tracking everything that moves
petrol will be £100 a gallon, road tax £1000 a year, public charging points will be stupid expensive
why can’t all these eco warriors see this coming,
We will all have to pay in the end
