No probs, tell as many R24 members as posible.

Hi - for the uneducated, is this just straight line (or twisty) acceleration (standing start to max over a given distance) or is there a circuit around the base?

I was going to try google maps for a look but as it is a military base I would think there is no mapping of it.

The website clearly states there is a straight drag and also a twisty drag course. I'm guessing the twisty might just be cones.

The distance is timed, not sure about a terminal speed.

Should be fun anyway and it's only £45

I know, I would have thought there would have been more interest.[8|]
There sure is a lot of roller skates taking part isnt there. (They will probably kick all our butts).[&o]
Im looking forward to seeing the 997 GT3 take part.
I will probably just stick to the straight stuff.
Depending on the volume of traffic around me, maybe I will have a go at the twisty section.
So nathan whats it going to be, the carrera or the 930?[;)]

I'm afraid it will be the gutless carrera... Also, I think it will be the slowest car there & then theres the driver [:D]

I'm looking forward to the twisties and the 930 in stock form had poor throttle response anyway [8|]

I asked my friend with the 928's but he didn't fancy it as he races these days. If we got all his cars there we would out number them! I wonder how hard it would be to get people to drive them for free [;)]

I wouldent worry about the lack of people taking part, most will probably join in at the last minute.

I don't think they will allow that as it stated on the website that Waterbeach is an active military base.

I bought a Sparco crash helmet and tried it on in my 911. It wasn't very comfortable with the stock seats so I'm going to fit my Sparco's in it while I have the stock seats tidied up.

Are you going to the club night on your own Neil or do you take a partner? My wife wasn't keen...

My mrs has never been to the ferryboat for the whole 4 years ive been going.
2 hours peace and quiet if you ask me.[;)]
I will be there tonight for the bbq, with the louder turbo, which makes me wonder if its going to be too load for this sundays event.[8|]

I was too busy Wednesday night fiddling with my seats, I can't get them low enough, my 930 has a smaller steering wheel. I will bring it on Sunday just in case I can't get on with the stock wheel and my hands hitting my legs...

Oh, also the paperwork says there is no catering []
