Yes interesting Mark. So the S introduced the range and is now pretty much run out to the facelift. Leaving the Turbo at a a better entry price but needing lot of extra's if you want your tourer.
I am guessing though its there for C2S and C4S people who spec well, add some extras and your quickly at £110-£115k, its only an extra £3k to a turbo sir/madam........
I'm done with the turbo performance label. Look at the Macan where the top of the range is the Macan turbo which conveniently forgets that both the Macan Diesel and Macan S also have turbo-chargers. The drive to lower emissions and better fuel economy (pointless when the depreciation of my 997.2 turbo has been 10 times the cost of the fuel I have put in it) means turbos may well be required throughout the 911 range in the future. What will a 911 turbo then be if they all have them? That's why I am trying to get a GT3 which may well be the last shout of the normally aspirated engine.
