12th August 2012

Building on the success of last year's event, Adrian Ancliffe will again be organising a scenic tour of the East Midlands. (TOTEM). The tour has no competitive element and is intended as an opportunity for you to drive through the picturesque villages and lanes of Leicestershire, Rutland, Northants and Derbyshire.

The event will be run under the regulations for a "touring assembly". There will be no timing element other than at the start and finish. The route will be defined by a set of easy to follow "tulip" diagrams that direct you round the 130 mile scenic drive.

The start will be at the Porsche Centre Leicester, Fletton Close, Thurmaston Road, Leicester LE4 9LP.
The finish is at the Coopers Arms Weston-on-Trent Derbyshire DE72 2BJ.

Hot drinks and pastries will be provided at the start and a two-course carvery meal at the finish. There will be a morning coffee stop at a 19th century coaching inn and a lunch halt at Foxton Locks. Refreshments at the start, mid-morning break and food at the finish are included in the entry fee of £45.00.

Taking on board comments from last year, we suggest you bring a packed lunch for the halfway halt. There are picnic tables and a coffee shop adjacent to the top lock. So why not meet up with friends and enjoy the wonder of the Locks and the magnificent views of the area. Plenty of time has been allowed for a leisurely lunch and stroll.

We aim to provide an enjoyable a day out with good company and excellent scenery. So if you want an antidote to the London Olympics, please join us on the 12th[FONT=verdana,geneva"]The tour is limited to 40 cars. [FONT=verdana, geneva"]
If you wish to join us then please print off the rules and regulations plus an entry form at;

or all details, including an entry form, will be in next months PP

hi tom,

After the massive success of last years drive we are very interested! Is the price 45 per car or person. think it was 20 pound per person last year???

hope to see you at Autokarna this Sunday.....

DEAN and ELAINE.

Hi Tom and Kerry,

Me and Maggie will be there. Have downloaded the info. Cheque in the post. Can't wait.
Thoroughly enjoyed last year. One of the highlights was three 993's Porsche's in line driving through stunning scenery at a quick pace. Not speeding! Richard, me and Charles or Laura. I can't remember. Good time was had by all.

Kind regards

Hi Dean and Elaine
The £45.00 entry fee is for the car with driver and one passenger.
There is a charge of £15.00 extra for each additional passenger
Cheers
