18" on a Turbo???

John

My car has open wheelnuts - a friend gave me the blue book specs (can't quite remember them now) & they weren't in spec. The nuts still had a few threads left above the end of the bolt. This was with standard clubsport rims.

I agree with the tye sizes - mine feels better balanced on the track with 225's all round (P Zero C), & when they wear out, I've got some 9x17's to go on & should be able to go wider all round. [:D]

I'll stick with standard szies for the road though.

Increasing front track will improve turn in. Beaky has 6mm spacers at the front and I was suitably impressed with the difference they made.

I currently use 7 mm front spacers on the turbo and have not noticed much difference in turn-in, but then perhaps this is because I run 16" wheels ?

Lee im presuming your talking about the ones fitted to a Red 968 in Manchester..
If so, i know them + there owner well... And they are good...as far as im aware theyl fit on your car.. After all if they fit a 968 they should fit to a 944.. same chassis....

They are from that very car Dave.

I am guessing you know it

Sure do..
The last time i saw the wheels , they looked good...Can say about the tyres, never took much notice about them...
Who knows he might even do you a p/x on your 968 wheels...[;)][;)]

So will i be ok with 10" rears and a 61 offset (for the turbo) and whats the recomended tyre size for the 10" rim ??

According to the guide they should be ok. I dont think my arches are rolled but i will be getting them doen when the car gets painted if not. I would prefer to put 265's on as i have a spare pair, i was offered some 295/30's but i turned them down as i didnt think they would fit !!
