19 new pictures of the new 987-Boxster

She loves me - she loves me not....

Each time I see a new set of pictures I change my mind - looks good in this set.

JCB..

Like the 997 it's growing on me - rapidly. I think they've managed to make it look less awkward with the hood up, and I like the nice tidy front boot. And the shape of the rear deck lid. Now, where's that piggy bank ....

Curiously, this has the only picture I've seen of the inside where I haven't gone "yeuch...![:'(]"

Still too much silver painted plastic though...[&:]

thanks Mark; looks great - for me the jury is still out on the silver grills - how soon before a colour coded "facelift" [8|]
Andrew

IF I take up my Letter of Intent (and until these photos I had just about decided I would not be - [:'(]that interior), then the side grills are coming out and being sprayed body colour. No way am I having "silver" "titanium" "alu", or whatever they are calling it, sticking out like a sore thumb on a black car.

My choice was going to be Guards Red.

But after seeing P18 (Bleh!), i'm not going to have Guards Red. I suspect there could be a big order for silvery/grey colours so that the vents blend in.

God, just think of the other colour combinations. Speed Yellow, Forest Green. People will see you coming for all the wrong reasons.

Please, please, please colour code the vents.

(Hmm, maybe a business opportunity opening)

I'm not sure I like this. I think it is overstyled in some areas, both inside and out (rather too much Z4ish - look at the angles on those dashboard speakers for instance). Those wheels are just OTT - I'd rather have my 18" Carreras any day.

I think some purity of form has been lost here.

[8D]I've already decided the vents on my MY05 will have the MY07 :rolleyes:colour coded option done unless I go for Arctic again [&o] If you want Guards Red why not go for it? Having the vents matched will cost peanuts compared to the £543.00 for Metallic Paint :ROFLMAO:

Huh??!! Where's the dipstick???!!! [&:]

According to the brochure, the "electronic oil level indicator is now so accurate, that a conventional dipstick is not required"

So look - they blank the hole for it rather than produce a new "tray". Or do you think an optional dipstick will be offered in future...? (@ £150)[;)]

I like the larger wheel arches to fit the bigger wheels. But those wheels..[:'(] (I know this is discussed elsewhere).

Not sure about the indicators inside the air intake grill. Looks messy.

Like the new interior, except that stupid clock.

Well if you mean the wheels on the Silver Boxster, then good news!

These are the 19" optional extra

As for the stupid clock, again, an optional extra.

And of course the indicators - an optional extra. No hang on? Got it wrong, people just treat indicators as an optional extra []

Now they have taken the Boxster so upmarket/luxurious, definately a gap for a CS version. lets wait if the AG marketing types can see it.

Point of pedantary, but its only the fogs mounted on the air intake. The indicators are in the bottom inside corner of the headlamp unit further closing the likeness between our beloved sports car and the MR2.....
