Finding an LSD equipped box won't be easy - most of them are turbo boxes with longer ratios. (longer FD?)
Anyway, apart from on the track, I don't think you need an LSD in an S2. I find mine a bit twitchy coming out of low speed corners on the track, but that's about it..
I know that Paul at ph sportscars had a couple of low mileage S2 boxes in (yes I know all parts from breakers are "low mileage..").
btw - red S2 - looks very nice []
As for throttle travel - the throttle is quite long, and it takes a bit of recalibrating from more modern cars as the controls are heavier and more mechanical. If there was slack in the cable you should feel it through the pedal.

Ive found a LSD AOT box but the guys wants 900 quid for it so i'm not sure about the outlay vrs usefulness
