Todays Autocar 19/10/04 has first road test of the 987"S" [8D] you won't be disappointed and as article says "First Among Sequels"

Can't upload jpegs here because there are 4[&o] so email if you want them

I thought the picture of the old v new boxster parked nose to nose was quite interesting. The new car looks a lot bigger than the extra cm's suggest

And, Peter Robinson's initial ananylis confirms what you and I both thought. The 987 will drive better on the 18" wheels, rather than the extra cost 19"s. The BMW (E46) M3 was exactly the same.

I agree [8D] guess it must be the extra mm's show up more in the all new panels, curves and shutlines etc which I like a lot and definitely looks more car for the money than any of it's competitors SLK, Z4,Elise, TVR etc

Anyone got a scanned copy of the nose to nose they could email me please?

Haven't had a chance to get a copy yet.

Robert kindly sent me the pictures, and I've only now had a chance to upload...

Mark how come YOU! can't post more than one jpeg per posting? I thought you guys with the titles could do these sort of tricks :ROFLMAO: unlike the rest of us [;)]

Nope - I have no magic powers.
I can edit, lock, and in extreme cases delete posts and threads (but I prefer not to).

...and I had to upload the small resolution versions as the others were over the size limit[&o]

I think the only people with the rights to do the really trick things are Jeff, Peter, and......Sophia (Still showing as Administrator on my system!)

[] Well how do we get you some magic powers you are a fountain of auto knowledge surely thats a qualification in its own right [;)]

Good but boring article, it confirms what I had hoped, that Porsche has moved forward with the Boxster and it is still THE roadster to have.
Lets hope EVO's article in the December issue is a little less fact and more feel, CAR can usually be relied on to give some well written reviews too.

Not only do I now want a copy of this weeks Autocar but I think I want a 987..... I'll have to buy some flowers for her indoors this evening and begin the charm campaign
