2007 Events

Basically the popinjay have not responded to my communications, and I don't have the time or energy to beg a company to take a large and profitable booking.

Last year for the few events of this type I did arrange it took an inordinate amount of time and effort to book a simple date with a number of hotels - for a number of reasons, not responding to emails, not returning telephone calls etc etc. So this year there is a new policy that if the venue is not responsive and helpful then they simply don't get the business.

The venue for this lunch is now the Kirkhouse Inn in Strathblane. http://www.kirkhouse-inn.co.uk/ Its a nice restaurant and it gives opportunities for a nice drive to/from the venue.

Sunday 18th February. I will need to give them a fixed number by the end of next week (Feb 9th) - and for this event we will also require a deposit of £5 per head. I can arrange the logistics of paying the deposit in advance, but everyone has to be aware that if their name is down on Feb 9th then they owe me £5 regardless if they attend or not.

I'll start a new thread for this.
