2011 rs day oulton park

Who has booked on the saturday?

I had the same experience as Vic, tried to book immediately and then tried a subsequent four times, when I finally found out that easytrack had a new web site and all the old user log in's didn't work (no mention of this on the new website or any warnings etc) it was fully booked and the reserve list was massive.

No attendee list any more on the easytrack website, so fingers crossed that some of the usual suspects or at the very least Porsches turn up on saturday, as the RS day is one of the highlights of my track year, and I just hope that the saturday doesn't just turn out to be a "normal" trackday full of stripped golf's and jap cars being frantically worked on in the pit lane, with a few token Porsches.

Nothing wrong with that, but the Porsche only day is special, and even more so this year with the PCGB calendar stripped back to basically combe and a few goodwood.

Also is anyone around on the Friday night? Bit of a long wait to come up on Thursday night for the Saturday!

There's a get together for dinner on Friday night at the Chetwode Arms ( WA4 4EN) just off the A49 , about 7.5 miles from Oulton , anytime from 6pm , eat around 7pm

Go to the 964RS forum thread for more detail and to get your name down !!!

If anybody would like a ride, just come and ask and I'll run you round.

I might take you up on that if it's Ok Steve. Never participated on a track day yet or gone round OP.

Peter you have never been around OP!,we will soon fix that, bring your lid,or we can borrow one for you,and your sick bag.[;)]

Thanks Paul - I really appreciate the offer. I'll be there on the day!

Even though I only live about 40 miles away it seems a shame that I have not tried it.

Mind you I have a substitute. Being a passeneger in my wifes BMW is a hair raising experince - somthing similar to F1 speeds and rally cornering!! But of course she is the perfect driver - or so she says !

PS - don't let her know I said this [:(]

Willing victims are one of the very nice parts of these events.

I love giving passenger rides, sadly not this time but ... [;)]

We are delighted that Stratstone Porsche Wilmslow will be supporting the RS day again.

Hopefully this will include goody bags and an offer of a lift home from the Chetwood Arms if anyone has had one too many sherries.

They will be on site during the RS day with a couple of new models and will have technicians offering free advice etc

Nice work Alistair

Paul have you seen that the Panamera turbo time at the ring betters a Mk1 Gt3 at 7.55, scary thought.
Have a good time
Peter
