3 improvements on a wish list

Things I'd like to do, but can't afford at the moment:

Promax stage 2 kit
New set of tyres all round (probably Conti Super Sports, same as I have now)
Custom dog guard (this one may actually happen, I've had a very reasonable quote)

Best things I've done in the past:

Subwoofer in the boot storage cubby
Geometry setup by CLCM in Edinburgh
Little bit of driver training on the racetrack!

1. Bring fresh air into the airbox
2. Bring fresh air into the airbox
3. Bring fresh air into the airbox

[:(]

For me it's things I can't do:

1) A go faster kit - Promax stage 2 or equivalent
2) KW3
3) Front wing bottoms - ok currently but showing signs!

These won't all get done next year, one hopefully!

3 things I can do:

1) News sunroof gears
2) New hatch pins and seal
3) Sill wax.

These will get done and soonish hopefully.

1. Sort rust on sills - early next spring
2. Replace P6000s on front, they only have 110k miles left on them
3. Replace shocks all around (probably go with Konis or something similar)

Aiming to do it all next year along with fitting EBC yellow pads all around (or whatever you chaps suggest from your experience)

3 (ok 6 - but I dead proud of them all) things I've done

fixed the radio
juddering brakes (problem with rear discs)
cream leather leather seats
new (well second hand) but non leaking rear hatch
slightly slimmer front tyres
new sills

For me, when my life affords the time, it would be:-

1. Get another decent 944 turbo
2. Install KWv3 suspension with M030 TB's
3. Drive it.

or...

1. Get a Cayman
2. Install KWv3 suspension
3. Drive it.

or...

1. Get a 996c2 (facelift model if funds allow)
2. Install KWv3 suspension
3. Drive it.

There is a common theme in this!!

Quite possibly in 2010...

1. Get front calipers refurbed and new pads...
2. Camcorda mount for roll cage
3. Actually get it on track!

Almost certainly not in 2010 (or ever?), but most certainly on the wish list...

1. Full respray, minus side rubbing strips and rear bumper plastic strip
2. 17" split-rim BBS wheels
3. V8

Most definately in 2010...

1. Baby (all being well!)
2. Loss of second income
3. No bonus from work

My 944 wish list would be

1/ Do some trackdays in 2010
2/Learn how to drive a bit quicker, seem to be stuck and maybe getting slower, instruction needed.
3/one day get a race license and compete in a 944 even if its just a couple of times, just to experience it...

Atthe moment the list is

1.New clutch
2. New belts
3. New water pump

then

1. New tyres all around
2. Find and stop all the water leaks from roof and rear hatch
3. Use the car more

IMO, I would go with Ferodo DS2500 Brake pads. They have ok cold bite but when warmed up (it doens't take long for them at all) they reall do bite hard with near enough no fade. Be sure to change the brake fluid too. A normal DOT 4 should be ok, but if you want to upgrade look at Motul's RBF 600 (I'm about to put ATE Super Blue DOT 4 into mine and will report back (opinions seem mixed on this forum about ATE Super Blue).

1 Make louvers punched in the hood.
2 Improve tuning
3 Find a paper filter which fits on a MAF pipe to remove the stock airbox

my chassis shows my car is an 86 model.I have spacers on my wheels now so does it mean that the cup 3 will fit mine with the spacers.[8|]

Probably. To be certain Id need to know what offset your current wheels are, or better: how wide the current spacers are.

I'll probably get hung drawn and quartered by the purists on here........

Fit a replica 924 Carrera GTS front spoiler, or possibly an USA style front.
Try to find and fit a set of 16" Azev A or Borbet C alloys to fit a 944.
Remove the reversing lights and replace the white lenses with a red ones.

1. 968 Mirrors
2. Silver rose D90's
3. would love the deeper front seats, but finding them in full blue leather the cream backing will be like finidng a needle in a haystack.......

I am interested to hear what 3 main improvements that you would wish/aim to do to your 944 in the future.

1.Replace my half leather scripted seats for full cream leather.
2.Fit a front lower bumper spoiler/splitter trim.(if I can find one)
