I seem to remember it had the exhaust from your 356 on it at the time. Cheers again!

Yep - that's the 356 fratenity spirit [;)] In fact - it just occured to me - that exhaust is now Helen's [:D][:D]

Gawd - I just want to get the Carrera on the road - engine, gearbox. brakes and suspension all done - just need to get Lee to stop doing bits on Helen's car and I might get the shell done![;)]

Lee's on an incentive - if the shell can be got back to Gantspeed in time for reassembly then I'll take him to Barcelona for the International next year [:)]

Where is the exhaust now then? Lee doesn't have it. It would save me buying a new one.

have you still got the exhaust Phil ?

Well done[:)] - really good to see the club's web presence expanded to fill this very obvious gap.

I'm looking forward to learning a lot.

Well done for the initiative. This is not about preserving assets (UK RHD vs. imports) or competing with the 356 registry forum. This is about embracing younger and motivated newbie's to the 356 concept. There is such a lack of real porschista's in the UK
(Delwyn Mallet and Eric Studer to name but a few) whilst the newer fold (e.g. Andy Prill and Paul at PR services) make their name outside of the PCGB's mother cradle.

It is a damn SHAME and a thoroughly egoistic stand that seems to motivate the current situation. I am very very disappointed.
This should not have anything to do with individuals but with ultimately the greater common good of having a thriving UK 356 community. I have been lured to the older Porsches by accident, thanks to for example users of this forum.
Only by picking up a part for a newer car and being surprised when the garage opens and a 356 convertible appears, only when the knowledge about these cars is shared, only when seeds are planted by more experienced people to the less enlightened, that the heritage is preserved. This is ideally monitored and motivated within the club that has that heritage.

It is a journey of discovery -still ongoing- whereby older members drip feed the younger, enthusiastic but perhaps financially challenged generation so that they can take over the reign one day.

Finally, Mark, download yourself a spellchecker. It wouldn't surprise me that in your enthusiasm one or two things are overlooked but that this is ultimately held against you.
