Blimey, for a minute there I thought you said six grand for sill repairs.

I can't argue with Paul there.

I've just paid over £6K to have sills, inner & outer, lower front wing repairs & rear arch edges done on my 944S2. That didn't include a full respray, just matching in. The work was done by Paul Baker & I can't fault any of it. Kept up to date with what was happening & shown all the bits that had to be cut out, fabricated & welded in. There are very few repair panels available which adds up in labour costs. Bear in mind that it only went in to have some 'surface' browning on the sills investigated.

Add in the cost of buying the car and, at the moment, there would be no way to recoup the cost so far.

The main positive is that I know the work has been done, photographed & is to a very high standard.

and I thought I'd bought a good, solid example from a specialist.

I must be a mug as I have just replaced both inner/intermediate and outer sills, made panels and replaced both lower rear quarters including cut out and replaced bottom of N/S front wing and O/S rear wheel arch and put into primer for a friend total £1k admittedly he supplied the sills and will need to get it painted [:(]

Well, the Rubystone 964 on E-bay is now down to £38k from £60k in four weeks. I guess the owner must of come to his senses [8|]. I'm still gonna hold on for another couple of weeks to see if I can get it for fifteen grand...[:D]!!

The seller has reduced the price to a 'mere' £20,500 😀 I guess his phone wasn't ringing of its stand with buyers at £25,000. Massively over priced in my humble wopinion
