Ive just read the porsche 968 buyers guide in 911&porsche world and yet again I am disapointed in their information being given out

they describe the engine block as being 'a light alloy block with steel liners that are nikasil coated'

what a load of crap ,if they cant get something like that correct then what other errors have they made
people look to these magazines for sound information ,I emailed them about the mistakes with the 944 buyers
guide and I got no reply ,Ive emailed them again about this and I expect the same response

Not a company that Im a fan of. Alright kit but prices which began as speculative and have ended up as piss-taking, in my opinion.

Hmm. Was that the same magazine that ran a vast feature a while back with the 320-font headline "Porsche 994?"

(Yes, I didn't mistype it. And I had to look at it several times before I believed my eyes.)

Oli.

Can I suggest you speak to Chris Horton of this parish....and 911& Porsche World?

Im not particularly enthusiastic about Steve Bennett either, who used to be a trainee on Cars and Car Conversions, and he was no Russell Bulgin or Martin Short.

Magazines are always going to form allegiances with dealers who can provide cars which provide interesting copy. Without the cars the pages would be empty...

There was (and only ever will be) one Russell Bulgin - he's sorely missed!

It should be named "911 World", coz that's all they ever have in it [8|].

You should check out the August 2007 issue with my 3.2T then [8D]

They still got loads of facts wrong though [&o]

I wouldlike to read this, is thereva way I can get clear text? As I zoom in it becomes to hard to read

Does anyone really actually buy and read car magazines any more? I stopped about a decade ago as the internet took over, I get the clubs mag but they pretty much go straight onto the pile and then off to the hospital.

So do I ...just to put me asleep at night, some of it is good reading ...but it is getting so heavily subscribed with adverts ..I don't have the money to buy anything they are selling!!!
I have a copy of Paul Smiths car exclusive..unreal.

my neighbour got me a subscription for the above Mag for xmas ... I do look forward to each copy .... I wouldn't buy those though
