924 Owners Club

It's quite shocking that I've been deleted from the Porsche 924 owners club forum without any response or explanation. I never said anything out of line or offensive. I've been waiting for 3 days for a response, made a new profile and wrote a post asking the reasons why (which is still to be approved)

Sorry, Alan, Is this from PCGB?

The automated database does relegate people to "guest" if they miss renewal even for a day, but the office will re-instate it if you gove them a call.

No sorry, The Porsche 924 owners club, not this club. I haven't been able to afford full membership for a few yours to PCCB unfortunately. The cars been of the road for a while now so I'm not able to take it to meeting etc

I did forget my password though lol

I'm not sure if it privately run, but its fueled with arrogance lol

I'll check that FB group out, I'm on most of them anyway lol

It is a shame, but the FB groups are taking over from forums now. There's no archive, so the same questions go round and round. Plus the spam you get there is annoying!

I am sadened to see comments on this forum like this about other clubs.
I was a member of the 924 Owners Club for many years and found them friendly and welcoming. I only dropped out due to commitments to PCGB.

like I said before, if I received an honest explanation I wouldn't have said anything. But I've been speaking to many others who have had the same problem. I think its a bit immature of them quite frankly, I'm not going back now. I take it if you fit in, you get on

I'm just wanting to enjoy my Porsche Experience with like minded people

Hello Alan, good to see you here.

My own car is receiving some long overdue emergency work (mainly on rust) to get it back on the road, what is keeping your car from venturing out on the highway?

Hi Paul,

How have you been?

Got no power from the relay box to the wiper switch

Headlight motor and wiring requires investigation

Set the cam buckets clearances (I need to find the VW tool for this)

Windscreen Trim needs fitted(previously rubber seal fitted)

Need to buy a new Oil pressure gauge

and a general look over etc

oh...and maybe some paintwork lol

I have never been acqused of 'Fitting in' ask most people on this forum, especially Directors.:ROFLMAO:

Alan Jones, I do wish I had screen grabbed a few of the many abusive posts/threads you and Dick Dastardly aka Richard Beech posted on your ever evolving splinter forum many years ago after he was banned for being abusive to the club and committe. It's a shame you appear to have forgotten. Oh, and another thing, at the last 924OC AGM it was voted that anyone not paying to become full members would have their access revoked. Not my personal choice to be fair. But I didn't attend so not my place to agree or disagree. The reason being is the forum is a perk of being a member, which the membership pays for. Anyway, it's great you found another forum to freeload on and cast stones from afar. I hope PCGB look after you well here. Merry Christmas to you all [:)]

Hi all,

I'm going to lock this thread, as it seems there's personal things going on from other, private forums that have nothing to do with PCGB.

The PCGB forums are open to non-members for everyone's benefit, and they aren't owned by anyone other than the Club so whilst personal opinions and spats are not acceptable, people don't get summarily deleted without due process.

Regardless of whatever has gone on with other forums, let's all start again here and play nicely? Thanks for all the private messages, and I hope we keep this site free from the politics of the private forum groups. [:)]
