924 Value?

Seven on Pistonheads including a Carrera GT and a Carrera GTS, and I think that the Gmund 924NA is already sold. "How many left" at Q3 2014 shows 655 NA's taxed and 1192 on SORN.

Yeah, I appreciate there are some advertised on other websites, but I have always considered Autotrader to be the bellweather of when a car starts to disappear from the regular used car market. I guess that means the 924 is in specialist sales territory now.

You know, I think I might just dig mine out of winter hibernation and take it for a shakedown! [;)]

John - didn't mean the post re 924's on Pistonheads as a contradiction of your Autotrader post but rather in support of it. What is effectively only 3 NA's nationwide on two main sites is a very small number and all the more reason for the prices going up!

The 924 hasn't moved a wheel since October last year, but it fired on the second churn of the engine and ran as sweet as a nut. Drove down to the coast for some air and a few pics, car running just lovely. Not fast, and softly sprung, but a delight to just travel in at modest speeds. Always nice to meet up with an old friend after a bit of a layoff! [;)]

Heritage just agreed a valuation of £5k.

Excellent, that is more like it, and easily what a genuine low mileage 924 with history is worth. I'd be keen to see a photo, or know more detail.

Aah, just answered my own question! Browsing through the 924 Club Forum I came across some posts from you which I had missed, and I recognise your car. Unless I'm mistaken, that is the car that Kenny Dunn was selling a year or so back. I gave that car a good look over as a friend was potentially interested (didn't happen) and I was very impressed. I'd agree, that is well worth £5k.

There was a 29000mile 924s on ebay recently I enquired about was a bit of a "Barn find" sold for £900 I was to busy sorting out a suzuki swift for number one son to snap it up

The odometer on the 924 only goes up to 99,999 before it flicks over to 0 and starts again. Lots of so called low mileage 924s need 100,000 or 200,000 added to the reading to be accurate. Unless there is rock solid paper work to back it up, I would be very wary. Maybe someone got the £900 bargain of the year, but I'd doubt it!

Car was in Wales and was part of an estate had sat about for a few years 1 owner was not starting but turning over suspected fuel pump, the interior looked factory fresh bodywork was also very good athough red with the usual fading so I have no doubt would have required a reasonable bit of spending on brakes, fuel pipes ,oils and fluids etc however looked a really good project I should have bought it.
