928 S2 in need of some love...

Walking through Thrapston (Northants) today and found this pair in the yard of a garage in the town centre:

There is also a green 928 in Catworth in a similar state.

I presume that once an earlier car gets to this state it is uneconomic to bring them back to life? Having seen S4s drop to £4,500, you could easily spend that resurrecting an early one...

I have always loved the 928 and will have one some day, but with the miles I do I can't get anything that barely manages 20mpg past senior management approval....
 
For a long time I have wanted an S2 with a manual box and nice fruity exhaust. This reminds me I need to upload some of my vid footage from Silverstone last year. Mark Chilton's 928 race car is one of the nicest sounding cars I have ever heard and that alone makes the 928 worthwhile.
 
Thats been there years 4 plus to my knowledge, there used to be a 924 as well, but Ive not been round there for a couple of years.
