I looked at some right low mileage ones in 40's 50's .
They were not as in good condition as mine, which has now done 93000 in over twenty years. Low miles or not it depends on the former owners how they looked after the car. My one has been serviced more than it needs to as well. The top end has been done 20k ago as well.
Maybe a private seller, may have bought the car because he always wanted one.
A dealer its all about making money. You drive you pay and put miles on the car, but how can you put a price on the EVERY MILE IS SMILE.
People buy a car to drive it as with any car.
Remember these cars are going to be old.

As always, make sure you look at it carefully, either yourself if you know what you're doing, or bring bring someone who knows these old school cars, most garages, including many of the so called specialists do not know anything earlier than a 993 or 996.
PS: Stunning looking LE btw.

From experience it is not worth paying the premium of buying from a dealer (as the americans say, "ask me how I know!") . Despite the margin these dealers invariably add to the private price, they often scrimp on putting things right. Better to deal with a private seller, you can usually gauge the love and devotion (or not) they put into maintaining the car, and keep a bit aside for fixes. Remember, these are 20 year old SUPERcars which were very expensive to buy at the time. Maintenance costs are proportionate.

I would tend to agree with all this.
Mileage is only an issue if you have an idea in your own mind that low mileage is a necessity. One can decide to put a car away in a garage at any stage, it becomes a mind game ...
Well maintained, a 200,000 miler should not be seen as a problem car.
Also on the dealer side, things like brakes, clutch, suspension and geo make a huge difference to how fresh a car feels, but you wouldn't expect most dealers to pay much attention to these so long as they work, where a discerning owner will. And far better for the dealer premium to be spent in these areas --- IMHO.
