944, 928 & 911 racing at Angelsey

Thanks Patrick!Alot was due to a tyre compromise we had to do in order to race! But we are deffo going to see how the settup can be improved on a test day here in Leicester at some point soon hopefully[:)],the car did so well especially in the heat,i really felt sorry for it![:)]

Don't feel sorry for it Mark, it's a race car, it's hard as nails - drive it like you stole it!!

So do you have to continue to run on the 16's and with that 'control' rubber? You can still effect better turn in by playing around, but it's also worth saving some time by checking out what other people do who have been doing it for a while. I would use places like Rennlist and Pelican forums as they have such a large population to draw from. Often proves to be a good resource in my experience. Obviously there will be plenty of people in the UK too of course. Whether they're as willing to pass on info is another thing.[:)]

You have to use r type road legal rubber like Tr88s,Michelin cups etc...I have stuck with the 16 inch wheels so far as i had a spare set and also the set with the car its just economics up till now!plus i like the "stock" look....maybe will try and get a set of 17 inch cup wheels to see how they go[:)]

List 1B in the blue book I believe for the tyres. Mark are you running Toyo's? I had a chat with my mate down here who sprints and tracks an evo 6 RS, he found the Toyo's worked much better if on a rim that is as wide as pos for the tyre, like 9" rim for 245 for example. I know he doesn't use em now but I can't recall if he is using Dunlops or Yoko A048 or whatever. Of course less of a problem the lighter the car is, especially static weight on the front end that is accelerated when cornering, stuff like the headlights etc.
