I've just received a replacement clock screen from Alasdair that I plan to fit tomorrow, I'm content with doing the job although I've never done it before.... Do you want a thread started with photos or is there one already as I can't see a detailed thread anywhere?
That would be great, Mike, thanks

I think I used clarks garage instructions to get the clock out and then the instructions with the kit for the clock screen part.

Good old Clarks, I couldn't have written and photo'd it better...... I wish I'd read it first!
The job is actually really simple, just take care with removing the fan speed and temperature switches. The temperature control unit cover MUST be removed very carefully as it is pretty thin and I was a bit ham fisted and slightly bent one part of it (luckily it didn't snap and once back assembled there is no bend "crease" visible).
Once I'd rebuilt the clock and mounted it back onto the fascia bit I realised I hadn't replaced the White paper piece that does whatever it does to smooth the light across the whole screen. I stripped it all down again, fitted the paper sheet and reassembled. Although I took my time as this was my first dismantle and tinker, I reckon if I had to do it again it would probably only take about 10 minutes to complete.
As mentioned by papamantra, once complete its extremely satisfying to see a working clock for once.
If you are thinking of changing your clock screen go for it, you won't regret it. Just mind the thin and delicate bits!

Just a quick note, you don't need to remove the fan and temp knobs from the heat control unit.
The plastic trim behind fits over them.
I know this as someone glued my fan control switch on and it isn't removable!

I really like the colour , the wheels make the car look cheap and do not suit it what so ever .
Front driving spot lamps need to be replaced and are expensive ! 968 Door handles look great.
Beware of removing the 968 side skirts !! People tend to fit them to hide poor sills .
I bought a standard 944 S2 last year that came from Scotland and it was rotten underneath !!
Have fun and enjoy it

Thanks for the comments , I agree the wheels are horrible and the car tracks with them I see you are running 17" cups how are you getting on with them? the reason I ask is I have a spare set of
17" turbo twists and was thinking of swapping them on to the Cab while I track down a set of 16" D90's . re the lights and side skirts the lights are not rite but I have to say do they ever light up the
road was honestly thinking of putting smoked light protects over for now so they weren't so obvious (not for the purest I know) and the side skirts definitely need to go and to honest not to worried
about what lurks beneath as I am lucky and have a brilliant fabricator that works for me []
Cheers
