YOU GET USED TO THE NOISE AFTER A WHILE !

...oh noise, yes you get used to it, without the trim the ventilation is miles better as well. Only problem is if you have a passenger. My brother and I drove up to Donny in the de-trimmed S2, we kept saying to each other its not that bad really, by the time we got to Donny both of us had sore throats.
BTW the S2 actually sounds pretty good without any sound deadening, really throaty when on it. Biggest problem is tyre and trans noise just gets a bit tiring.

Fit GRP front wings.
Fit a GRP bonnet.
Remove the PU mounted lamps.
Remove the rear wiper assembly.
Remove the window regulators.
Replace the rear hatch glass with polycarbonate.
Replace the windows with polycarbonate.
Replace the door cards, handles and bins with HDPE sheet (retain the top of the door card).
Remove the electric hatch release mechanism and replace with an extinguisher pull.
Remove the radio and all speakers.
Remove the sound deadening bituminious pads.
Remove the rear seatbelts.
If you have a full cage consider removing the side impact bars, particularly from the passenger side.
Remove the air conditioning components (do they work [
Remove the power steering pump and run without assistance.
Fit forged Fuchs CS wheels.
Many of these modifications will affect your vehicles comfort, but many will be aceptable and combined theyll make a substantial difference. The battery, the hatch, the bonnet and the seats (and a few other items) can save over 100 kilogrammes without affecting the vehicles comfort, or noise levels too much.
