944 estate for sale

Yes certainly not a sensible estate - much a "shooting brake" type machine, which has always appealed to me . The Scimitar has been mentioned - another is the Lancia HPE of which I have had two, including a supercharged Volumex version - great cars.

This 924/944 estate is much in that sort of mold.

I know Mostyn would much prefer it in the back of one of those. To say he hates travelling in Beakys sun box would not be an over statement.

I am given to wonder if a Truck Top type replacement to the tailgate might be a cheaper practical solution. It would certainly make camping more comfortable for Sian & Rich [:D]

I still wish I`d bought this, I think its brilliant.

I happen to really like the 924/44 estates as well, although that one does look more than a little on the steep side. (I think that the advert lists it as a 2.0 turbo as well - is this the 924 turbo engine?)

Practicality is not the thrust of it. If you want a practical car then buy a modern estate. I like it simply because it is different, and the shape 'does it' for me.

Oli.
