944 owner experience 1st ever PCGB Meet (Essex)

ORIGINAL: EU53UUX
Our meetings are for members only ...
Ah. Oh. In which case then I, as a non-member, coming to visit with a view to becoming a member, won't be allowed in?

Ho humm. Better cancel that proposed trip next month then.

Oli.

Hi Oli,

You are fine to come along as a prospective member. Don't worry I will be sure to slap a membership form into your hand![;)]

Hi Mas,

Sorry you didn't feel that welcome. Big groups are funny things and there are months where I can stand around and not really talk to anybody or only talk to one or two people. You weren't the guy standing at the back, on the right hand side, next to the haggered geezer in need of a shave hugging a diminishing Guinness by any chance?

As previously said, winter gatherings are that bit more difficult to break the ice because we don't have the opportunity to stand about outside and kick tyres but do please stick with it. The Essex posse are quite a good bunch really and Greg puts on a lot of events throughout the year.

I have been going for years now but, probably, didn't feel part of the group until I did something other than just the monthly meet. The monthly gathering is, almost, just an opportunity to upload information. Once you have done some of the other events you them get to meet smaller groups of people.

Please stick with it as we do have some great times. My number is in Porsche File so, next time you are coming along, please give me a ring so you will have at least one person to talk to and so will I [;)].

And as for Oli, I absolutely insist you come along. With Cannell, Jon, myself (and several other non forum 944 owners) we have a strong following of 944 owners, and a good few with 928's as well.

John,

Will you be there next month? If so, stick your namne on the other thread ...

Do two 944 owners count for one 928 owner? (Cylinder(s) count after all, old boy!)

Oli.
