944 project (non-runner)

Porsches trimmed with "non-porsche" fabrics always look a bit odd to me & will definitely knock the value / resale potential of the car. Is it 3-4m for a retrim? - which would only be ~£100 extra for the proper material.

Small update, had the front seats repaired. Got hold of the original porsche fabric from the supplier in Germany so was able to have the damaged areas repaired and not have to fork out for the full retrim. I think the end product is pretty good with only a slight difference in colour due to fading. I've done about 1,000 miles in it now and it seems to be getting better and better. Feels in a different class of comfort and refinement compared my mk1 mx5.

Found someone only 3 miles away from me but he mainly does furniture upholstery. I had to remove the seats for him and it took around 3 weeks to do but pretty happy with the results. It was just the worn panels that were replaced.

Theres a few other people that were recommended to me also local"¦ Vaughan Green Upholstery and Hubbard Upholstery.
