944 S2 airbox mod

The kit is just the fibreglass barrier and the rubber seal, so yes I do have it all.

I haven't received Paul's mail yet (I think I'm having email issues as some Titanic mails are taking hourse to get to me; I know because one of them was sent to the list by me, but I had seen replies to it long before I got it), but it seems like he might be interested and technically in first.

No problem just let me know if he doesnt want it or any chance you could post a picture of it and i might have a go at making one as it will need modifying to clear the headlamp anyway !!!

While I was living in NZ I cut the snorkel that feeds the Turbo airbox & ran a flexi pipe down to the vacant vent at the bottom right of the front panel (where the oil cooler is on the left side) to get a ram feed. I had a K&N panel fitted.

Sorry Fen if it harms your sale - they are a little tricky to make, but there is a thread on rennlist with a template for making a trap. http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=189363&highlight=maf+trap
Me, I am tempted to make a small raised duct and duct air straight down onto the filter through the gap in the bonnet and the the headlight - it would only work with the headlights down or fixed units. Still been thinking about it for nearly a year and not done anything yet ;)

Makes no odds to me Tony. I had actually forgotten I had it and only spotted it at the weekend when I was looking for something else.

Good thats what I thought [;)] I would guess 10 minutes after attempting to make one there will be a stampede in your mail box.

Interestingly the lyndsey one used to be a bit of bent tin - criticized by our friend in NZ for not sealing against the bonnet etc. the new one is much closer to his design. Shame he couldnt avoid dishing the abuse that led to his ban from rennlist, he did have the odd good idea.

I had my fibreglass Lindsey one long before Andrew even started his project, so they didn't copy him.
