Hi my name is jamie i have just joined, i have had 4 944s in the past(from 1987) my latest is a 1989 944 s2 which is the best ive owned. Since owning it i have done - koni rear shocks, pro max chip, de cat pipe, magnecor leads, beru 4 pin plugs, k and n panel filter, 944 turbo big bolster leather seats, 17" 911 wheels, strut brace, 968 steering wheel and more. This is a money pit but also a big airfix model that gets me away from the wife!!! lol. This year i am also looking for a low milage 996 with the gt3 body kit and wheels but i have heard some bad things about the rear seals leaking leading to a engine rebuild?.Any way i would just like to introduce myself.

Welcome! Sounds like you've done a lot of work already. What shape is the body in? Any pics? Where did you get your seats from? I'm on the lookout for electric sports seat in linen but not having much luck finding them.

Hi the seats i got direct from america but they were in a biscuit colour so i had them re covered, i am a perfectionist(my problem lol) so my body work in my eyes could do will a respry as i have a small bubble on the o/s sill, a couple of very small defects on the doors and someone has kindly scratched it! anyway its the best i can get it without spending thousands lol.

Hi and welcome Sounds like another very nice car you have there. If you want to send me any pics (and we do like pics!) A9XXC@aol.com Cheers

I don't like them, despite having them on my own car. The previous owner didn't have the original Fuchs forged 928 style wheels unfortunately.

I love those style of wheels (I had three sets at one point) [8D] They are indeed nooticeably very light and look even better painted gloss black IMHO

Its true that whilst disliking them I am also looking for a cheap pair of 996 9" rears... [:D] I intend to fit Design 90s in 7" and 8" in the Spring, unless I find a pair of D90 9" rears in the meantime.

Welcome, lovely lovely looking S2! As non-standard wheels go I think they look pretty good... bring the car up to date. For me it's got to be D90's on an S2 though.

Bin lids!!! There's only one forged wheel for the '88 Turbo, and it isn't a gullydeckel ;) Even better when it's wearing Cups (and gloss black too of course):

Nonsense! Early offset turbo teledials are THE only wheel for the 944:

Or if you must go aftermarket the BBS wheels that came with my first 944 looked pretty tasty:
