On the subject of the 996 wheels - I have them on my 944 as well. When I first got the car it was the first thing I wanted to change - partly due to the harsher ride on 17's (and if I was going to have 17's Cup 2's would be the ones), but also I felt they looked too modern. Thing is, they had very good tyres on them, and other items needed attention before worrying about aesthetics. Thing is, they are pretty light, and now I've actually come around to thinking they look OK. They look a little modern, but it's still a recognisable Porsche style imo. They look even better in a darker colour imo, but not sure about black or anthracite against my Guards Red. I'd still change them for a good set of late ET 16" Tele's though!!
