944GTP

I wonder what the 16v head is like and if it resembles the head off the 944 S. Or even if they started from a 944S engine rather than a turbo engine.

Call me a spoil sport but I take issue with cars that don't resemble their road going variants under the skin. That first one may look like a 944 on steroids, but underneath it is simply not a 944. It is completely spaceframed out with completely different suspension setup. You could stick on a plastic body resembling any other car you fancy. Still a nice bit of kit though, but not a 944. I love the way they've got the IC mounted.

I hadn't realised the 944 was raced so extensively from the factory. It really does seem to have a proper racing pedigree.
 
Wheels are Gotti, engine definitely 8 valve the head is way too narrow for 16. I have those mirrors, or rather mirrors that look identical but I don't have those little mounts for them. I should sell those mirrors actually as they have been sat in a box for the past 3 years.
