I've never had occasion top open the ECU and there's no record of the chip being changed so "probably". I would need to open the ECU to confirm, though. Mostly I find the rev limiter when overtaking with the sun-roof out. there's so much noise wind noise I can't hear what the engine is doing and I am too busy watching the road to watch the rev counter. I suspect a chip wouldn't help that [;)]
