964 Cup Car Roll Call ..... TOP

Most likely I will get the Columbo graphics printed and fitted. But I'm struggling for photographs so the graphics will be difficult without. Otherwise my option is to remove all the graphics. What do other forum members think I should do?

Definitely with graphics!

Present the car for what it is - probably the best trophy car out there. Mount either the graphics appt to the driver if you are sure who this was....or the generic sponsor graphics for that year (as applied to the Ruby car that TJS had earlier this year) - Mel can hlep with these :) I personally would not be comfortable with the present decals - but this is my personal opinion clearly and you are in the best position to make that call...... Just make sure you drive the bloody thing and don't put it in a glass case - insurance is cheap at our age and that's what these things are for.

Vittorio Columbo had the car painted in 1990 in his favorite Nutella spred ....[:-] With squirrel nutz ....

Do what you think is right Paul - its your car!, its always nice to have it in original decals of course, They even look nice with no decals (Esp. if you are only going to track it). Plenty of time to decide, take your time.

I believe it's the only Signal Green Cup Car ever produced and there is a letter from Porsche to confirm. Can only think the Manthey Car was painted by Manthey or indeed you have the Manthey M700 CUP!

Paul to answer your question ... take off everything Manthey and leave the generic 1990/1 Cup Stickers .... yes Spa looks Good. I thought we had spoke earlier about Le Grand Reunion ....[:)]

Really I thought these engines needed a constant supply of oil after a specialist rebuild, something to do with letting the crank breathe ....... [;)]
