Present the car for what it is - probably the best trophy car out there. Mount either the graphics appt to the driver if you are sure who this was....or the generic sponsor graphics for that year (as applied to the Ruby car that TJS had earlier this year) - Mel can hlep with these 
I personally would not be comfortable with the present decals - but this is my personal opinion clearly and you are in the best position to make that call...... Just make sure you drive the bloody thing and don't put it in a glass case - insurance is cheap at our age and that's what these things are for.

Vittorio Columbo had the car painted in 1990 in his favorite Nutella spred ....[:-] With squirrel nutz ....
I believe it's the only Signal Green Cup Car ever produced and there is a letter from Porsche to confirm. Can only think the Manthey Car was painted by Manthey or indeed you have the Manthey M700 CUP!
