I think on stock means in stock. Lost in translation.

Interesting...that means additonal costs?

Maybe a swap to 993 RS fronts is the answer?

Difficult to call. I would suggest you try to get a drive in a few cars equipped with either good standard suspension or the 993 RSstruts, before making a decision. New parts make quite a difference. Judgement day will see a wide range but i don't know if anyone has the 993RS struts fitted. The IOM is very bumpy for any RS btw.

Cannot find any way of contacting Motorsport division?
you know, the internet is a great invention. You can find anything on there [;)][:D]
If you had gone to the Porsche website, you would find the Motorsport link and in there you would find the following link

http://www.porsche.com/uk/motorsportandevents/motorsport/racingscars/contact/costumersportsservice/

I don't know if these people are the right people but I bet they know more than the parts man at your opc [:)]

IOM is very bumpy for RS's, but we drove my car over the mountan road and then my friends car and their was a noticeable difference between the 2.

His car was much more compliant (for want of a better word) over the bumps than mine. Easer to drive at speed over the bumpier sections.

My friend had his last RSL for 7 years and confirms his current 964 RS CS is very different on the front...softer and a lot more forgiving.

This has always been mentioned as a fix for softening the front slightly but still be suitable on track!?

Yes!!

I have and they seem ok[:D][:D]

Think Laurence and Joe911 have convinced me to look into the KW replacement over on Pistonheads.

John P's 964RS will seem really well sorted you could try that. Don't be fooled by the looks it's not really a 993RS, just a 64 with 993 RS front struts[;)]

I know John. Havent seen him at the region 5 meeting or anything else for a while...Stu, Steve and I were starting to think he had sold his Yellow treasure:ROFLMAO: (yeah I know....NEVER)

64RS now too?

HI all
after looking at the top fittings of the cup cartriges and the std rs front shock,I think they both fit the std monoball top mount, I will measure this at work this week and let everybody know the out come.
btw both "struts certainly taper to a small diameter pin to fit upthrough the monoball bearing.

regards christian.

Their is big price differential between the 993RS and 964RS shocks. 993RS considerably cheaper!!!

They both use the same 964RS spring. So what is the difference between the 2 that makes the 993RS softer?
