P.S. Where does all this info with prices come from? []
I have the PET download. Is there a 'live' version somewhere with up-to-date pricing?

You can find most prices of parts on the Design911 website by typing in the first 8 digits in their find by part number facility:
http://www.design911.co.uk/pages/fastPartFinder.aspx
it's a pretty good tool for checking out the price prior to ordering.
im impressed !! thanks steve
"btw the 993 rs seat is slightly wider than the 964 rs seat the & 993 rs recaro is the same as the 968 clubsport so i'm reliably informed. "
is what was actually said, and that is what I thought was correct......anyway, here is the Pelican link that Charles was mentioned, pictures and all. Certainly supports the fact that those seats that Tom has for sale are not original spec 993 RS seats.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-used-parts-sale-wanted/513077-euro-993-rs-seats-like-speedster-clubsport-new.html
note "Recaro" embossed on back of seat, not front, trampoline suspension thing in seat base, the shape of the "cross" in the back and the perforated leather in the squab and seat back.
that's enough anoraking for one day.......

No they are all different.
Charles
Ben, just got back from Ninemeister where a very helpful Mark Clowes did some research on the rs, with the chassis number he was able to download all the factory options fitted to my rs, also checked the sticker on the seat, it now turns out that my seats are
993 rs, the date on the sticker is 02 06 95 & the rs was registered on 31 08 95, I now believe the seats were a special wishes option
with the triple blue leather, this would tie in with the triple blue leather steering wheel & the blue leather bezels on the dials & switches, out of interest I will list the codes as follows
M 002 911 carrera rs road version
M 197 stronger battery
M 224 LSD auto
M 220 locking diff 40%
M 227 Switzerland
M 338 rear wheel drive
M 385 Bucket seat left
M 384 Bucket seat right
M 405 RS speedline 18" wheels
M 435 leather momo wheel
M 455 anti lift device for wheels
M 451 reducing radio prep
M 470 fixed spoiler
M 488 inscriptions in german
M 480 6 speed manual
M 530 anti drive off feature
M 545 92 litre fuel tank
M 567 tinted front windscreen upper
M 564 without air bag
M 573 air conditioning
M 657 power assisted steering
the only other codes we could not identify are I 040 / I 210 / I 323, these may be the special wishes department ? anybody
help on these codes?
The part number on my recaro's are 964 521 003 70 which indicate 993 rs

Jeez, never new that......very interesting Steve.
Still leaves you with the obvious option, put those triple blue in storage and buy a set of SPG's []
Cheers.

Hi Steve,
I think special wishes are not coded.
040 - ??
210 Number plate mounting, type II
(is reduced space with two rubber protection blocks, which you do not find on the 911 in Europe)
323 without ESE-regulations (no clue what that means)
I think the codes are special specifications for cars, which go to Switzerland.
Regards,
Michael

interesting Mike, thanks for that.
The 993 rs seat has steel clips bonded to the shell for the webbing to clip to, mine however do not have these which led me to the conclusion that they are 964 rs seats, HOWEVER, the sticker on the seat relates to 993 rs part number and date, so did the 993rs have different seats? Chris your 993 rs is prototype so I would imagine it will have the 964 rs seats fitted due to the early build date ?
Tom Schmitz says they came out of a 964 rs in maritime yet stickers contradict this statement as sticker relates to 993 rs and also
checked another 993 rs which has the same part number on the sticker, perhaps there are two recaro bucket seats fitted to 993 rs?

I'll take some pics --- , mine was registered a RHD C16 in Germany in November on 11.11.1994 !!
But what if my seats are not original !!!!
I'll bet there's a build date on them from Recaro ...
Build date... I only know the stickers on the race seats.
But: 11.11. is the official beginning of the German carnival season every year...maybe your car is in disguise?[]

I've been offered a set of all black 964 RS seats but can't establish if they have been re-trimmed or not.
I've seen sets in black before but no mention of this in the PET system, only Rubystone(BQE), Maritime(BQD) and Grey(CFR).
Can anyone tell me if all black was an original 964 RS seat trim option and if it had a colour code on the sticker under the seat?
