The car i was referring to is the car at Maxted page now.
405 bhp is supposed to be correct in the usa, although neil never dynoed it over here.
It has a andial motor in it on throttle slides, should be no reason to doubt the power.
Andial made some top engines for teams in period, they have stopped doing them now.
Neil's car is a nice looking piece of kit isn't it.....

Paul, do you know what happened with the Spa car that lived in NZ. It was for sale for a while. Last I heard was that it hadn't sold but wondering if that had changed.
Neil's car is a nice looking piece of kit isn't it.....
Just make sure you fully check how much is original if you're thinking of buying.
Originality is everything at these prices. ;O)

The car is still advertised for sale in NZ,i am hoping to be in NZ in feb,so may well have a look if its still around. You are not far from it now are you, still in Aus?If you want i can email the link to you.
Charles the history of the car is what it is as a ex racer, its fairly original, lots of original parts also with the car.Race history rather than total originality is king in the historic race scene, these cars will come into there own one day.

NZ is a fantastic place, spent some time down there a few months ago. Definitely a good shout for the Howells' Feb holiday.
NZ car has been for sale for a while now. Owner has a number of other interesting motors and can be found on DDK.

As DSCBoy says, 3.8 Clubbie been at Thomas' for a looooonnnnng time......has had repair work done which is mentioned but how it acquired said damage and repair work required / administered doesn't stack up. I would suggest a VERY thorough examination if you are serious.........

Tom's had that black 3.8RS for a LONG while now... keeps putting the price up which I doubt helps! Started out around Euro140k and saw it at 170k at one point? If I recall its had a few mods since it left the factory... suspension and engine. But it is one of the super rare clubsports and that's pretty close to what the last one I saw trade (red one) went for.
Cheers
Rick
Rick the car when it first appeared was something half of the above price, I am going back several years .... not sure if was with Tomas then ..... a decent RS Carpet was £22K! To say values have tripled for really nice unmolested cars is not far off the mark .... from their low to today .... I know there is a debate on P'Heads about this ..... No longer are we leading market, with the £ on it's knees any like for like LHD car now is at parity with a RHD and may even be worth more ......

The car must be awesome with an engine like that! Surprised they didn't go for the extreme body mods ie front splitter and rear spoiler extensions etc?
I wonder if Neil will regret parting with this one?
And it sounded magnificent!!! Track days? Forget it!
