964 run to le mans

Fred,
That's alright then as long as you don't decide to shoot it using the wrong order of I & E.Maybe we need our own forum if the "moderator "steps in.
For the sake of completeness,Les Appletons will be travelling down to Portsmouth early on Thursday am, 12th June, possibly picking up Les Autres on the way via M6,M5,across to Swindon,Newbury by-pass,M3 etc to catch the 8.00 ferry to Cherburge.we are not proud so are happy to accompany others.

Colin,
There is a slight chance that I will be on the ferry from Newhaven on the 12th. Not going to Le Mans myself but touring on the bike down to the Millau Bridge and other places South.
It wasnt until yesterday that I realised the start of the trip coincided with Le Mans so may bring the ferry trip forward a couple of days - before the french police start their cameras clicking away at anything with a British number plate.

Cheers,

Many thanks for those folks who sent me details, and/or noted their travels in this forum, for their trip to Le Mans.

In a few months when things become more stable I will publish the list of who is going from where to Le Mans etc., so that folks can hook up on the journey down or back etc..

I will see if we can carve an area at the PCGB campsite for 964's although that may be tricky as cars just turn up over the 3 days before. We can certainly say Hello once we are there!

I booked with Travel Destinations, and will go out from Dover on Seafrance (I think) at 16.15 on Thursday 12th June, and return on Monday 16th catching the 16.45 Ferry back from Calais. On the route down I am likely to stay south of Rouen, or maybe Alencon. I won't try to pitch a tent at 11.00 pm at Le Mans!

Please keep letting me know your plans if your going there.

im going out wed noon, back mon 2.oopm dover calais this time, should be in the 964 but my mate wont fit race seat, would a cheap 924 seat and runners fit?

If you want to borrow a seat Keith I have one. I'm on the Fylde Coast between Blackpool and Fleetwood.
Email if you are interested.

Cheers,
