Very true, Rich. Mine is 0076. I actually have 3 earlier ones on the database but as far as i know, none of them are in this country.

I remember being amazed when we met at Silverstone and you could reel off my VIN number from memory! Wasn't sure whether to feel impressed or sorry for you!![:D][:D]

Yes Des,it is the original colour. Quite a rare colour I believe. Very proud of the car indeed! Have tried to post some pics but it said "file too large" or something? Any tips ? (it's a Mac by the way).

By the way, I am a PCGB member ever though my profile suggests otherwise. Any tips on correcting that?

By the way, I am a PCGB member ever though my profile suggests otherwise. Any tips on correcting that?

Send a email to PCGB and they will sort it. It may take a while but it will be done.

Cheers!

Seriously would be nice to have at least 15 different coloured cars...

I can see a rainbow effect, just need to track down those very few blood orange lightweights, last seen in Holland....

Were there any originally painted in blood orange ? If so would LOVE to see a picture !!!!

Like this ? Metallic Coral Red. RHD. We have speculated if it might be the only one. Originated HK.

It was for sale but it'll be back with me straight after Easter if not sold.

I remember so well asking the same question !

I use a site called tinypic which I search for in google and it always comes up top.

This gives you the opportunity to search your computer for the prepared file you need.

I generally size the picture at around 6 x 4inches, or less and up to 150 dpi, then saved as a medium jpg --- so no magic !

Select the file press the upload button, and the tinypic site will give you four file options.

Select the one starting and ending IMG in it's entirety, and copy it in edit.

Then go to your topic contribution, and paste this into the post.

Finally, change the IMG at both ends to lower case img --- and with your mouse button click on OK.

It worked for me ! Though quite a few helped me out at first. So, give it a try ?

I saw your car at Andrew's --- v.nice with the MAT number.

Thanks for the advice and the car compliments Chris! Look forward to seeing your clubsport at some point. Was surprised to hear that Andy has finally sold his lightweight ? Always liked that car...

Welcome to the world of 964RS ownership and membership of a vary rare club - 964RS owners in Australia. What's the story with your car? How did it get here? Did you import it?

I have been trying to track down the few cars that are over here. I think there are probably 4 genuine cars, but there seems to be a fair number of cars that call themselves RS's which are no more than C2's with a few bits! What spec is your car? Has it got a cage? Has it been tuned at all? Any info will be welcomed.

Hope you have lots of fun with the car.

Regards

Simon

Thanks Simon, yes I'm very excited to join your club.

Not to mention very excited about the future of driving the beast as well!!!

I did send you an email on Saturday morning, did you get it?

The best information I've gleaned is that the car is one of the 6 delivered to Hamiltons, (apparently one has been written off), I'm the 7th owner, and it has been in Perth for the last few years. From what I can tell, it hasn't had a cage, and although it has obviously seen track days, I think it is in pretty good (if not great) external and mechanical nick. I don't think it has had any mods, other than the cat' converter has been taken off. All interior parts are in very good condition, and original.

The funny story about this car is that John at Duttons wouldn't sell me the the car unless I agreed to have the wheels restored back to the factory colouring, which is pretty close to what you see in the previous photos. The test drives I made of the car were with metallic charcoal rims, and then after taking some snaps of it, I changed the colour to white in photoshop to check whether I could live with them! A black car with white rims seemed very disco to me, and then once I owned the car, I discovered a CD had been left in the player...... Saturday Night Fever!

As it turned out, the Grand Prix White wheels look fantastic.

Loads more to chat about, but time for sleep now!

Cheers,
