964s for sale

Thanks for the Welcome, yes that was me.

The previous year I had some Pax laps with a chap (friend of yours if I recall) in a yellow 964RS, Nick? That was the start of the mental slippery slope for me into 964 ownership;)

That would have been Kevin...I'm surprised it didn't put you off with him being so slow. [;)] Cue Kevin chiming in as his ears will be now burning [:D]

Mine's now for sale. Here's a link to some pics of the car and the important upgrades/maintenance done to it:

Full details available including a spread sheet of its history on request.

Marcus, I don't see myself using it much in the foreseeable future. I've had nine great years with it and it would be sad to see it sitting around doing nothing. It would be nice to see it go to an enthusiast who will take it on to the next level. I don't see it as cashing out as it owes me a lot more than I'm asking for it! [:D]

Kevin, thanks for the PM. E-mail using boxsey at btinternet dot com and I'll send you all the gory details! [:D]

Certain the next person will get something special Steve. A different replacement instead?

Quick one; the harnes bar in the rear - permament fixture or quick-remove? And where from?

Good luck mate...

The decision on the replacement will be dependent on it having a different usage. I'm thinking of having something for regular use along with the odd road trip/track day. Final decisions won't be made until the 964 finds a new home.

The harness bar is a GUIDE bar made by Brey-Kraus. The shoulder harnesses still need to be attached to eyebolts in the rear so that they are secure. The bar is there to ensure the correct angle of the harnesses to prevent spine injury. It's very well made and takes 10 minutes to remove/fit. However I keep it in permanently because the rear is never used for passengers.

Best of luck with the sale Steve, I know how much love and care you've dotted on that car and as Marcus says, someone will get a great car.

Hi guys, I've been searching for months now for a 964 rolling chassis for a turbo conversion project. I just stumbled across this forum and thought there might be someone out there with something to sell. I'd consider anything but the ideal would be a turbo bodied 964 C2 which is in need of an engine/gearbox.

If you have anything or know of anything please get in touch.

Many Thanks,

Rich

If anyone is looking for a nice 964 Cab C2, Manual, 53k miles, (mint) give me a shout, maybe selling :-(

regards

Scott

I don't have a turbo bodied 964 but I do have all the turbo parts for conversion - wings, bumpers, side sills etc etc.

You may want to price the parts up before you buy though.....nothing is cheap anymore!

Hi Jason, thanks for the reply, I have got a few bits, original low mileage 930 engine and gearbox, side skirts, front wings. Have got a pretty good handle on how much all this stuff costs, have got a previously abandoned project, a 1986 cabrio shell currently going through EBay (abandoned because I came to the realisation that it was impossible to Make the engine didn't fit) if anyone is interested on that the listing is:
