Well as far as i was concerened they are the same...
Mine performed just as good on my S2 as they now do my 968...
So they are definately interchangeable then ?.

I had my KW V3 on the S2 for a few years.
Ive just transfered them onto the 968 with no problems whatsoever...
All the spring rates are the same... etc etc etc ...
Its worth checking on the new stuff that spring + valving rates are the same, as i bought mine a few years ago, just as they were getting popular...
944 = 35271010 ($2,795)
968 = 35271009 ($2,795)
I've called KW North America a few times and I've never been able to get an explanation as to the differences between the setups.
Note that KW has also released the "Club Sport" for the 968 with the following p/n
968 = 35271809 ($3,695)
Karl.
PS: Typically here in California, you can get a 25-30% discount off list price if you shop around

Ground Control have some interesting kits for less outlay, not sure if they are comparable to KW but if I was in the States I would consider buying from them.

They're based near Sacramento, which is about a 3-hr drive from where I live. I've spoken several times on the phone to them and they've been super helpful. And I have to admit, I've had much better communication from GC than KW North America (which is a pity, because KW UK seems to be much better).
All of GC's kits are based on custom valved Konis (single, double, etc.).

I've had a look on their website but unfortunately I could get hammered for around 20% import duty and tax so it's not so good for me.

I haven't had my KW quite as long a Dave, but it was £1350 to the door when I bought it.
That's about the price now. Sooner or later I have to decide if my car is a keeper, if it is, the suspension needs doing and it needs a level 2 power upgrade, or I could just buy an E46 M3 and have something that would probably be nicer to drive.
On the occasions I've seen an M3 here I've thought "what's the point" as it isn't a high-speed road network. Where there is more than one lane in each direction it's so heavily Policed that you can't press on and when you get into the driver's roads where Plod is hard to find then you don't need something that does well over 100k's in second.

I very nearly bought an e46 M3 about 18 months ago. I don't think they really compare with the 944T, but then they are 15 years newer a design. The main downsides for me were that they don't feel fast, though they are (I'd rather have the other way round personally) and the manual shift is awful so you need an SMG. If you can handle the rawness and the price premium doesn't rule one out then a CSL would be awesome though. I sort of wish I'd bought one instead of the RS6.
At a stretch I could have gone for a CSL, are they really that much better than an M3 ?, decent M3s seem to start at £12-13k now, about half the money of a CSL. When you say the M3 doesn't compare with a 944T do you mean it is better or just different ?.

I seem to think the KW stuff was around £1200-£1300 when i bought it, so it hasnt realy gone up much..
But
If i had a choice between a 944Turbo + an E46 M3, it would be the M3 all day long...[For a dual purpose car]...I dont like turbos anyway...In any car....Keep it N/A....[
The only factor with the M3 is its VERY difficult to use the full potential of the car on UK roads, as they are SO capable...
If you were to take it on track , then the brakes WILL need uprating, AP callipers + BIG discs needed...
A couple of years ago, 2 of us went to Rockingham, i was in my S2 + my m8 in his E46 M3 [SMG], after about 2-3 laps the BM,s brakes were overheating, mine were just getting into there stride...Yes the M3 was faster in the straights, but my "lower powered S2" [ 220bhp against 320ish], walked all over it in the twisties...The BM is a heavy car...

I understand, you cant handle the power of the 944 turbo[
Did you see the difference between the M3 and the CSL at Oulton?

I just dont like the power delivery of a turbo... Its all or nothing...I can handle it....[
Ive had a few turbo cars.. Calibra Turbo 4/4, and a Nissan 200sx S14a... Both good quick cars, but just not to my liking / driving style....
At a Tday recently, Nick Appleton was there in his 944turbo + he comented on how, if he used the power of his car on exiting the bends it would have spit him off into the scenery, when i gave him some pax laps in my car he was suprised by how hard + soon i could get on the power, without any "drama,s"....
So ill stick to N/A ....[
I didnt take much notice of the M3/CSL but its all down to the "nut behind the wheel"....How knowlegable they are about there car + track...[
