No, no, no, no!!

I'm not thinking of selling the 964! It's for a mate of mine, who's sadly since had putthe 968 on hold after his ex. girl wanting to take part of his house!! He was looking at the 968's after being scared off of the 964's. He bought a dog of a car. Lukily he sold it on to some poor sole who thought a PPI was not required....

Thanks again for all the replies, & maybe I'll see some of you at Brands in August!

also has had the dreaded plate lift seen to in the calipers.

Hi All,

After a long hard trawl ive just purschsed my first 968! Its the 95 sport model in blue, and has done 89K, FSH and in lovely condition. Ive been reading the posts on here and 968uk forum, please could any body explain further what the dreaded plate lift in the calipers refers too!!! Ive got it booked in for a service a my local specialists, AUTOSTRASSE in Coggeshall Essex for service, belts and chain but just wondering if there is anything else I should be looking to get sorted! Also anybody on here used Autostrasse before??

Cheers.

This should answer the brakes question

interesting that Autofarm insist that new plates have to be used every time, maybe it's because of the heat that they use to get the screw out.

As I understand it, the corrosion effect distorts the plates, and although in theory you could bend or hammer them back to shape, the tolerances are such that you are better to use new perfectly flat plates.
